It was getting to the point where the kids would rather stay home than go out on the water because of all the cleaning and fixing required after being out for a day of "fun." Now we can grab the keys to the boat of our choice, have a great time on the lake, and then toss the keys to the dock hand and head home. We can ski one day from the deck boat, swim & fish another day from the pontoon, and cruise or jet ski as our heart's desire. . "We owned a runabout prior to joining the club, but it seemed like it always needed something done to it and always at all the wrong times. We would go out to entertain guests and end up with a dead battery or we would have to wait for an hour at the boat ramp at the end of the day with tired and whining kids. When Troy started devoting increasing amounts of time to his business on weekends, I was left frustrated without a way to get the kids on the lake myself. The last year we owned the boat we paid to have the boat dry stacked but the additional costs along with the never-ending hassles started to outweigh the benefits of ownership. Now that we're Freedom Boat Club Members, the kids and I use any boat we want and leave Troy at the office! The staff members take care of our gear from start to finish and best of all refuel and clean the boat. With ownership we just had the one older runabout, but now we can use pontoon boats, waverunners, the wakeboard boat, and the cruiser - and FBC keeps getting new boats!
